Requirements
For referral traffic, all of the following requirements must be met in order for your account to remain in good standing.
For any Referral traffic to be accepted it must contain the following parameters in the URL
ref_keyword - This will pass your creative headline
ref_adnetwork - This will pass the name of the traffic source
ref_pubsite - This is pass the placement of the ad click, sometimes the same as the traffic source
Using the Required ref Parameters
Your creative ad copy text must be passed into the domain in the ref_keyword parameter for ALL traffic. Any traffic without the ref_keyword parameter will not render a proper landing page / advertisements.

Assuming this is your creative
The ref_keyword parameter would be passed in as follows:

The ref_adnetwork parameter is required as well. This parameter would contain the name of the ad network where traffic is purchased via, (eg: Facebook
, Outbrain
, Taboola
).

The ref_pubsite parameter is the last required parameter. The ref_pubsite should take one of the following:
Full URL or domain of where ad/creatives appear, this MUST be present if it's on any network OTHER than Facebook and MUST be where the creative is shown.
If using ad network like Facebook, pass in "Facebook" or "none".
